Personal data security

General

Personal data is any data that refers to a physical person as in an individual, regardless of the form the data is in. These data enable an individual’s identification.

Personal data security

The operator collects and randomly processes the personal data, which you provided when you signed up to a specific service (event registration, e-news or by filling out a contact form).

For the purpose of providing the services, the operator will collect, manage, process and save the following personal data:

  • name,
  • email,
  • the faculty which the student is attending.

At any given time an attendee or user can demand to gain access to their personal data, which they can examine, correct, limit the amount of processing allowed or delete, by sending an email to the following address: info@sportup.si

Personal data security

The personal data, which will be collected based on your explicit consent, will be saved in an electronic database, which is properly technically protected and to which only authorised personnel have access. All collected personal data can be saved in the database until the agreement to process the personal data is canceled or at most as long as it is necessary to achieve the goal for which the data is being processed or it reaches its legal requirements.

Cookies

Cookies are fundamental for providing user-friendly online services; most common ecommerce features would not be possible without cookies. The interaction between the web user and the website is faster and easier with the help of cookies. With their help, the website remembers one’s preferences and experience, while browsing through the web pages is more efficient and enjoyable. There are several reasons for using cookies. They are used to store information about the status of each web page (details about customizations of each web page), assist in the implementation of online services (eg online shops), help in collecting statistics on user and web site visitor behaviour, web user habits, etc. Cookies can therefore be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the design of our site. You can also read the information on the recommended and permitted use of cookies on the website by the Information Commissioner for the use of cookies found  here.

We use the following types of cookies on our site:

  • Session cookies: Temporary or session cookies will be removed from your computer when you close your browser (such as Chrome or Internet Explorer). These cookies help improve the performance and usability of our site. For example, they allow us to detect whether your browser can run small web applications (called “scripts”) that provide additional functionality for the website or allow us to remember any preferences you have set (such as font size or language setting).
  • Permanent cookies: Permanent or saved cookies remain on your computer when you close your browser. The website uses them to store information, such as a login name and password, so you do not have to log in each time you visit a site. Permanent cookies remain on your computer for about 6 months.
  • Google Analytics cookies: These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We use this information to prepare reports and help us improve the user aspect of the site. Cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site from which visitors came to this site and the web pages they visited. Some cookies designated for this purpose are automatically removed from the device when you close your browser. Others may be retained for up to 24 months from your last visit to our site. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by visiting: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Cookies that are linked to (Social Media Plugins) Social Networks and Services: Social Networks allow websites to integrate their products into their content – allowing users to share content with their friends (various buttons such as: like, share content, recommend…). Plugins use cookies to allow social networks to identify their members when they come to a site with a plugin.
